
This conference highlights the remarkable achievements of the “Nurture Via Nature: Hong Kong Nature Connectedness and Outdoor Environmental Education” program. It is also Hong Kong’s first large-scale international conference centered on the themes of nature connectedness and environmental education. The event will bring together scholars and experts from around the world to foster a platform for exchange and collaboration. Together, we will explore the future of nature-based education, promote research on nature connectedness, and work toward mainstreaming outdoor environmental education—opening up new possibilities for enhancing social well-being and sustainable development.

Notable Keynote Speakers: Renowned author Mr. Richard Louv, whose international bestseller “Last Child in the Woods” has shaped global conversations on nature education, and Professor Peter Higgins, a distinguished scholar in outdoor environmental and sustainability education.
Three thematic parallel sessions will be held concurrently, focusing on: “Outdoor Environmental Education in Schools”, “Research and Applications of Nature Connectedness” and “Cross-sectoral Collaborations for Mainstreaming Environmental Education”. Experts and scholars from around the globe will be sharing their insights and experiences in person.
